I WANNA WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS (feliz Navidad)

This was definitely a good ol week. We're on the grind out here in the Carrollwood ward! Tuesday we got some more Mission BBQ, Then I got to exchange with Elder Whitney, and new missionary! He's trying to teach me Hiligaynon (yes it's a real language, and yes, I'm going to learn the missionary purpose in it)  We got to go help Brother Hodges with this platform he's building, and eventually going to turn it into a giant water slide. I was the wood mover guy, but you know, I'll be the best darn wood mover guy you'll ever know! FELIZ NAVIDAD!! We had a district breakfast, and let me tell ya, I got a lightsaber from a white elephant gift exchange. I am one with the force now. We stopped by some members, and saw what they got for Christmas. The Spencer family fed us and man, ham has never been so good. Then we spent the rest of the time dropping off cookies to people on Christmas. We randomly had a girl named Ashley call us. The next day, we had a lesson with As...

Well, another week here in Carrollwood!  We played some pickleball on Monday (for all those who play, you know who you are, bring it on, pickle ball is now my sport) and since we were staying, not a ton of stress went on, so twas good.  -We got to help out with transfers and direct everyone to be socially distant and said hi/bye to all the missionaries in the zone and those who are going home, it's so sad, so bitter sweet.  -WE SET OUR FRIEND ANGELA ON BAPTISMAL DATE!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOO!! SHE'S AWESOME!!  -We met the new STLs (the other 2 finished their movies) and they're beast! We're going to kill it this transfer in the Tampa Zone! -We got in contact with our friend George! We're getting him connected with ARP classes, everyone pray for him, he's struggling with a lot right now. -We got to spend the afternoon with Elder Makechnie, before he was picked up by his trainers. He jumped straight into contacting, throw him into the line of fire, it was awesome! -We pl...

SABEN QUE AMIGOS, ME QUEDO AQUÍ CON ELDER THACKER!  Yup, we got transfer news, and we're staying together as Zone Leaders in Tampa! There's a ton of new missionaries in our zone, so we're excited for all of the transfers! This week was awesome!  -We played pickleball for Elder Holloway's last preparation day. He took off on tuesday and man, that was heartbreaking, WE LOVE ELDER HOLLOWAY! -We had our last district council of the transfer and our zone is getting shuffled, so that's always fun! Going to miss all the missionaries that were here.  -We had exchanges. I got to hang out with Elder Faletoi! He's teaching me the missionary purpose in tagolic, and there's a Sister who speaks french in the zone, so let's  see how many languages I can get.  -Had exchanges with Elder Lindhart! He's a beast and we did the #lighttheworld of giving out cookies, and had some amazing lessons. Plus I got to do a baptismal interview with the 9 year old boy they're te...

el seminario y el frio

Image
BIENVENIDOS A MI CORREO! Espero que todos estén bien y que Dios les bendiga.  Esta semana, hizo frio. EN SERIO, HIZO FRIO! But, last Monday, we just had to deep clean the apartment, so that was so fun. We taught Eric and he's been having some amazing spiritual experiences! He's so excited for his baptism!  Tuesday, WE TAUGHT SEMINARY!! THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN!! 6 in the morning and a solid 45 degrees (I know, cold right) we blew up Denny's with an army of missionaries, but man, those pancakes, maybe it's just because I'm on a mission, but hot dog, they were good. We taught Chris about the Atonement, and teaching people about the Atonement is one of the most powerful things you can do. They come to understand who Jesus Christ is and his impact on our individual lives.  Wednesday I got to go on exchange with Elder Kerr and Elder Larios. We blew up the area book with phone calls, and that night, we stopped by a few people. People always tend to latch on to the hope of et...
