el seminario y el frio
BIENVENIDOS A MI CORREO! Espero que todos estén bien y que Dios les bendiga.
Esta semana, hizo frio. EN SERIO, HIZO FRIO!
But, last Monday, we just had to deep clean the apartment, so that was so fun. We taught Eric and he's been having some amazing spiritual experiences! He's so excited for his baptism!
Tuesday, WE TAUGHT SEMINARY!! THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN!! 6 in the morning and a solid 45 degrees (I know, cold right) we blew up Denny's with an army of missionaries, but man, those pancakes, maybe it's just because I'm on a mission, but hot dog, they were good. We taught Chris about the Atonement, and teaching people about the Atonement is one of the most powerful things you can do. They come to understand who Jesus Christ is and his impact on our individual lives.
Wednesday I got to go on exchange with Elder Kerr and Elder Larios. We blew up the area book with phone calls, and that night, we stopped by a few people. People always tend to latch on to the hope of eternal families, and we met some kid named Michael who loved it!
On Thursday, we got to do service at the food pantry. Who's had 'Nothing Bundt Cake'? Please raise your hand. We got, probably, 100 mini bundt cakes, pumpkin spice flavored, and a huge full size cake. THEY WERE SO GOOD!! We dropped those bad boys off to members and that'll get you some brownie points, or some cake points (I'm a freaking comedic genius)
Friday, we had our exchange with the Assistants. Definitely interesting one. We played basketball with their friend preparing for baptism, and me and him bonded over the NBA. I'll nerd out, bring it on. But not much happened, a lot of busy work.
Good ol Saturday, brought back memories of Argentina, with having to zoom back to the apartment, I love CHICK-FIL-A, but it chose not to agree with me. Just a lot of good ol contacts at the end of the day.
On Sunday l, we got permission to have sacrament at our Bishop's home. (The church was closed because a member of the spanish ward had come to church with Covid, yeeeehhaaaaww) Had a great lesson with the Hodges family! And then Elder thacker threw up, so he was out for the count for the rest of the day. We gave him a priesthood blessing and he was able to rest and recover. We watched the Christ child on our Facebook page, and watched the Christmas devotional from President Russell M. Nelson! I loved Elder Holland's talk! Always remember the significance of the birth of Christ and how it has changed our world forever!
With the Hodges, the mom talked to us a lot about spiritual experiences and Confirmations. We cannot forget those moments, because if we do, we start to lose sight of God. As Elder Anderson says, "When personal difficulties or world conditions beyond our control darken our path, the spiritually defining memories from our book of life are like luminous stones that help brighten the road ahead." I can say, from what has happened in my life, that God is real. That he loves you, he knows your name. He wants you to take one step closer to him today, and another tomorrow. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior. He truly felt all pains, sicknesses and overcame sin in the garden of gesthamene, and that "there is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ." Read the Book of Mormon, I can promise, that you will know God personally, and you will know that it is divinely inspired of God!

Only thing I need to say is, Chick-fil-a @ahnika
