Sound the snot/Bautismo de Roxana

SORRY EVERYONE!!! I DIDN'T WRITE LAST WEEK, I'm sure many people were heartbroken, chiste, no pasa nada. I learned that blowing your noise in spanish translates literally to sound the snot, so there ya go. Fun facts for ya.

I'll throw in some highlights from last week as well:

- we went to branden to try and take out a wedding date for our friend Jessica but we can only do it en el partied del cual pertenecemos. So we were able to do it last monday!!! We'll see what happens with the pandemic! But pray for Jessica ans John so that they can be baptized!!

- Then we had liderazgo! Always a party! Pretty much half the mission participates since we have 70 missionaries and guess what!!! After august the mission will only have 34 missionaries, so life is going to become very interesting

Back to this week:

This week was definitely interesting!! Our friend Roxana got baptized on Wednesday! I found her about 2 months ago from Facebook, so the power of technology in the work of the Lord! We got to meet her mom and her son Benjamin! Benjamin is adorable!

I had lots of fun, organizing 2 noches de hogar en los barrios! Uno por cada barrio! It was super fun and we got to introduce our missionary bingo with both wards! So we're going to be having a lot of fun with it!! Getting a chance to improve our relationship with the wards!!

We ended up being inside for the majority of the week and completely on Thursday and Friday because my companion started to get sick (he has recovered ladies and gentlemen) and then the country announced that for 9 days we're going back into phase 1!!! So for the weekend and this week we'll be in our apartments or in the church building! Hopefully it doesn't become extended more! Luckily we can go out and deliver book of mormons and pamphlets to the people that we're teaching!!

We had quite a few meetings! And our mission has a big push to help those we're teaching be baptized in this coming week we're we'll have 5 days open to baptized in open air! Definitely an experience being a missionary at the moment!

So warning for you all, this coming week, we'll see how exciting my email is, but I'll do my best to make it crazy and action packed, full of sharing the Gospel!

This week, the word long-suffering or in Spanish longanimidad, came to mind. What does that truly mean, it's defined as "grandeza y constancia de animo en las adversidades" as it literally states, it's about ability to suffer for long periods of time, but with a state of joy or as I would put it, a state of recognizing what will come. Many people in the world suffer far worse than others, and yet find joy recognizing that it is temporal, not eternal. Christ chose to suffer because he had love for each of us, and we can face trials with the same love for him, that we are willing to give our lives because he already did it for us! Find happiness in small things each day, and experience joy in the atonement of Christ!

I know this Gospel is true and will give everything for it!

AMA a todas las las personas y a todas las cosas
