Otra semana en la viña del señor!
Well fellas, months feel like weeks, weeks feel like days, and if I blink I'm back in bed at the end of the day. Make each moment worth it, and focus on God at all times, and then you will know you are in the right!
Twas a good week ladies and gentlemen! We taught the mom of our recent convert Juan, and she's going to be baptized this Sunday! Pray for Mabel! She's absolutely amazing! She was worried that her wheelchair would get in the way! And now, her son Juan should be able to baptize her! I'm so excited!!
Went on exchanges with Glew and was with my good ol bud Elder Blackham. I told the story that I seem to tell on all exchanges now (@rebeka) so that was an exciting time! We got to teach our friend Andres! He was going to be baptized yesterday, but the family started to have symptoms of Covid, so we'll be postponing that for a bit! That night, we decided to keep calling and called our friend Roberto at 10 pm and put him on baptismal date, what a beast!!
Then we got to teach our friend Juan! He told us he wants to start paying tithing (even though he can't be baptized because he's not married) so he's a beast! He's starting to read the bible from the beginning, and he's doing so good about cutting smoking. He says he can't remember a time that he hasn't smoked, and he's getting so close!! Pray that we can get an appointment for marriage for him and our friend Jessica, 2 different families, so that they can be baptized!!
WE GOT TO HAVE ZONE CONFERENCE THIS WEEK!!! It was absolutely amazing! Our mission president went through, and asked us to do a personal evaluation of our chirst like attributes and teaching skills. It goes to show that no matter where you are in life, there is room for improvement! That doesn't mean you're not doing well enough, but allows you to have the opportunity to learn!!
Sunday was strange. We had our meetings, invited a couple to watch, and they ended up coming to the church, so we set up the tv and watched with them. Awesome people, and we gave them both books of mormon! VAMOSSSS!!! The assistants then came to Guernica to set up for a baptism we were going to have in the zone. but it ended up falling through, so now we have a pool just sitting in our patio of the church, what a time to be alive!
I need to start writing in my journal, so I can actually remember what happens day after day. Everything happens too fast!
This week, I was reading the chapters of Alma and Amulek in the book of mormon. Great examples of charity, powerful missionaries with powerful testimonies! They support one another, and support each other in conflict. As it says in 2 kings 6:16-18, many times we will be as the servant, afraid, nowhere to go. But remember, no matter where you are, you have support with you. You have an alma or an Amulek with you, a concourse of angels, and God himself, "is mindful of every people" (Alma 26:37) Remember to stand in holy places so that you stand with God, because he wants to stand with you!
AMA A TODA PERSONA Y A TODA COSA
