JUAN BAUTISTA SE BAUTIZÓ

Well everyone, this was definitely an interesting week, let me tell ya!

On Tuesday, we had exchanges, and I was in my area with Elder Da Matta! Twas a party. AND WE GOT A WASHING MACHINE, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Then we got news that for the week we would have a 3rd Elder that was going to be with us for the week, while he was finishing his mission. We got him on Tuesday, and his name is Elder Contreras, he served in the comodoro, rivadavia mission. AND HE KNEW ELDER GALLARDO FROM HIGH SCHOOL, small world
Wednesday we got news of new Covid restricciones, that we weren't allowed outside of our apartments after 8 pm (safer that way anyways, lol) and that all religious activities would stop, including baptisms.

So then began thursday. We began a frantic search for who was prepared to make a covenant with God before restrictions went up. The 3 of us, Elder Gallardo, Elder Contreras, and I fasted, turned on the font in the morning, without having anyone who was going to be baptized that day, and went to work. We had a lesson with our friend Juan, who without us saying anything, asked what was going to happen to his baptism in a week with the new restrictions. We explained that we had no idea, but said we know you have a testimony and are ready to make the promise, would you like to be baptized today, and he said yes. So then we scrambled, got everything ready, and the Bishop actually baptized him! FUE LOCO!! And the water was ice cold, so I feel very bad for the 2 of them (don't turn the font on at 12 and have a baptism at 8:30 in a font where the hot water doesn't work)
Saturday, we had a tormenta blanca in my first area, Longchamps, and talked with everyone. Even did a tad bit of preaching in the train, always a good time. Did get someone's number who wants to learn more from that contact, so let's gooooo!!
Sunday, our friend Elder Contreras flew home, and officially finished his mission, and Elder Gallardo and I were back to 2. We went and visited a family who we contacted the mom and the son on the bus. Turns out, THEY'RE TWINS, THE 2 BOYS, AND ARE AMAZING!!! That all have such an amazing desire to be baptized! We set a date for May 4th, VAMOS STAR WARS!! So pray for Jaison, Harbor, and Melody!!

We finished the week with a class from Brother Coleman from Provo, on how to defend the faith using the bible. Twas interesting, and we will leave it at that!

This week, with everything that has happened, I've been thinking of the power of faith. Faith is a principle of action, and requires hope and charity. If you do not have the pure love of Christ, as the scriptures say, we are nothing. It means, our actions and desires, or hopes, in order to propel our faith forward, must be based on our love for God and those around us, which explains the necessity for the 2 great commandments. If we have these 2 attributes, all things are possible, as it says in Luke 1:37. Doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith, and let your faith be driven by your love for heavenly parents and your big brother, Jesus Christ, there, you will find Miracles!

Ama a toda persona y a toda cosa
