Traslados mis amigos :))
Hola amigos! Que pasa calabasa? Todo bien por allà? Estoy aqui viviendo la vida de la mission, y es lo mejor como siempre (imaginate vos, yo hablando en español, re gringo aquí)
But I hope everyone had the best week ever! This week was a good time! We have transfer news (because my companion is going home tomorrow) I get Elder Gallardo from Argentina (I will figure out what part) as my ZL comp and we get to cover 2 wards now, YEEEEHAAAAWW!! GUERNICA AND NUMANCIA, RISE AND SHOUT THE COUGARS ARE OUT!!
This week twas good. Our friend Antonio is moving to Moron (en Buenos Aires zona oeste) so ya fue:(.
We met with Andres, Belinda and Violeta everyday this week. They weren't able to talk to the dad about the baptism of Andres because he works A TON but he'll get baptized this month! They made us papa rellenas and wow, THOSE WERE SO GOOD, OH MY GOODNESS!! And, they're easy to make, so I'm happy:)
We met our friend Jorge in person and he was sad because his kids don't visit, SO FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE, ALWAYS VISIT YOUR PARENTS AND ALWAYS TELL THEM THAT YOU LOVE THEM, THEY'VE DONE SO MUCH FOR YOU!! (Had to get on my soap box there for a second)
We got to help La familia Sajama with a poso (well) that they're digging in their backyard for their bathroom, that twas fun.
Joaquin got the aaronic priesthood this Sunday and next week flies to Columbia to train for his boxing tournament in October (HE'S BEEN TO THE OLYMPICS FOR MARTIAL ARTS, WHO IS THE MANS, HE'S 18)
Met some sweet people in the calle contacting. A bunch of members that haven't been since the pandemic started, and I'm starting to get to know all the people in the streets of Guernica. Some guy taught us hang signals from people in jail for: todo bien, todo malo, cuidate, and viene la policia, so that's good information
Did my first baptismal interview in Spanish, and she now knows me as the angel señor Bennett, I love the people here
This week, I continued my study on hope. Hope is entirely attached to our faith, and comes from the knowledge of the love of our heavenly father, so much so that he sent his son, Christ, to die for us, Emmanuel. Now, the question is, how do we discover this for ourselves, how do we come to understand this love and have a hope for a better world to come.
First, it requires us to think positively and to choose joy. This does not mean to completely ignore what goes on around you, but to recognize what can be learned and to apply it. Because where your treasures are, your heart is also. As we choose joy, by recognizing blessings, we are directed to learn, by study and even by faith. Through the scriptures as stated in Romans 15:4, we find hope and comfort! And in DC 88:77 we are to teach one another the doctrine of the kingdom. That does not mean through factual knowledge but SHARE THE HOPE AND LIGHT THAT YOU CARRY WITH YOU! I promise, that you, yes you, I'm talking to you (if you read this far) have the ability to change the world. But it begins with your willingness to think less of yourself and more of others, and your impact will not be in vane 1 Cor 15:57-58!!
Ama a toda persona y a toda cosa
Elder Bennett
