Fires, Fights and Transfers
TWAS A GOOD WEEK!!!
The good stuff that went down everyone
- Right after last p-day, a fight broke out in our apartment complex, that was wild
- We taught our friend Eric again! He's progressing super well and super excited for his baptism! He understands the importance of entering into a covenant with God and is super prepared!
- We set a baptismal date with Simon! He's a 15 year old and is super awesome! He really wants to improve his situation and be an example for his family
- We filming a 'no hands' cooking with the Gospel video (check out finding Jesus Christ in Tampa this week) and Elder Holloway put a cinnamon roll in the microwave and we ended up smoking the entire kitchen and you couldn't see anything
- we had exchanges with the Social media zone leaders, and they gave us all the good ol numbers of facebook
- WE RAN INTO A CAR SHOW!! So I just watched Elder Thakcer nerd out on all of the Mustangs and I learned so much
- we met our friend George who wants to stop drinking and smoking, super awesome!!
- We had dinner with Bishop Patel's family!! WE LOVE FOOOOOODDDD!!!
We got transfer news, so it's going to Elder Thacker and I here, and Elder Jacobs is going to dade city. So just the ZL's together now. Going to miss Elder Jacobs:(
-I've decided to take the invitation of President Nelson and study the promised blessings within the book of mormon, in terms of God to his children and the gathering of Israel. One thing that stood out to me was 1 nephi 8:6-7. Lehi was having his vision, and for the first part was stuck in a dreary waste land. He had to pray in order to be shown the field, and eventually the tree of life. It required him to turn to the Lord and recognize the tender mercies given to him. We have been promised that in the darkest parts of our lives, if we cry out to the lord, he will show us the light. That does not mean he will bring us there, but he will give us at least a step. Sister Eubank said, "Take a few more steps on the covenant path, even if it's too dark to see very far."
-I promise God loves you, he knows you, and wants to give you that next step. It is not part of our mortal, physical experience to understand everything. It is necessary to know that we have a Heavenly Father that listens to every, single, word, that we say
-Ama a toda persona y a toda cosa
-Elder Bennett
WE SAW THE BATMOBILE, enjoy the other pictures as well :)
