Feliz dia de accion de gracias y ya está

Another week from your friendly Floridian Jeddy Bennett. We find ourselves in the midst of Thanksgiving season, where Turkey is great and gratitude is even greater :).

HOPE EVERYONE HAD ONE FLIP FLAPPING FANTASTICAL WEEK!!! GET HYPED FOR ANOTHER FLIP FLAPPING FANTASTICAL WEEK!! And while you do that, I'll let you know how my week went.

This week definitely started out on a high note. We had Eric and we were able to help him with his questions and HE ACCEPTED A DATE FOR DEC. 12 AND HE'S SO EXCITED FOR IT! EVERYONE PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM!!

Good ol tuesday, we got to practice for our christmas post! Everyone, I did sing in an a capella choir, and I didn't completely, absolutely botch it! We had some good ol lessons, one with our friend Christopher! He has an amazing desire to learn and really want to be baptized on the 11th, so pray for him as well! THEN I GOT TO GO ON EXCHANGE WITH ELDER HUGHES!!! YEEEEEHAAAAWWW!!!

Wednesday, I got to hang out with Elder Hughes! And it was so fun! Just like the good ol Days! We jammed to 'I feel my Saviors love', got lost in Downtown tampa and had an amazing lesson with Chris! We exchanged back and taught Eric! We watched the #givethanks video from President Nelson with him and HE LOVED IT!!!

EVERYONE!! IT WAS THANKSGIVING AND I ACTUALLY REMEMBERED IT WAS A HOLIDAY, UNLIKE LAST THANKSGIVING!! AND IT WAS SO GOOD!! We had biscuits and gravy from our DL in the morning with a round of pickleball! Then we ate at 2 other members' homes and holy goodness, I was a lurpy lump afterwards, let me tell ya! I'm grateful for food, and for the people who prepare it! The Goodriches and the Spencers both gave us leftovers afterwards and man, that was flipping delicious!

Friday, we had exchanges with the Social Media missionaries. Talking about needs of the zone and how to better utilize facebook within each companionship! Everyone, go follow @FindingJesusChristinTampa on facebook! It's pretty cool, let me tell ya!

Then I had an exchange with Elder Gadd!! He's freaking awesome! Only has 2 weeks in the mission, but is flipping killing it! He wants to soak everything up and is going to be an amazing missionary. We taught our Haitian friend Joe! He's so funny and FLIPPING KNOWS 4 LANGUAGES, I thought I was going good with 2.000025 (Eu posso falar Português) Portuguese friends, please correct that!

Good ol Sunday! Had some fun ol lessons and we met Leo. He talked to us a lot about Egyptology, that was cool, and other historical facts. He asked us to come back and explain the fallacies of the bible to him, so that'll be fun. But besides that, twas a regular sunday!

This week, 2 quotes stood out to me. "God's love is there for you whether or not you feel you deserve it. It is simply always there." -Thomas S. Monson. It does not matter our situation, trial or circumstance, GOD LOVES YOU!! And many ways, we see it in unexpected ways, to quote Elder Cristofferson, "His teachings are frequently based on common understanding, but with uncommon results. Indeed, one might say, that to teach his people, the Lord employs the unlikely." Nephi used a compass that only yielded results through faith and diligence. The Brother of Jared had stones touched by the hand of God to receive light. Jesus taught in parables to help others understand. Common stories, objects and people are those who allow us to feel God's love, that is always there. We must act in a way that God can touch someone else with his love, through us. We never know the true impact we can have on someone's day or life. Say hello, smile and say you're grateful for the people around you! I promise God loves you and watches over you, every, single, day!
