Songs, something inappropriate, and swears :)

Well, this week was a whole lot of things going on. But, apparently we believe in a sex-craved Jesus, interesting (there's the something inappropriate). That's got everyone's attention (I'll go over that, don't even worry)

Monday was awesome, we ended up playing spike ball and basketball forever! The night felt like a ton of lessons fell through, but we did meet with Laura!! She's the best!!

On Tuesday, started out the day by changing a flat (not on our car, no te preocupes) and practicing our zone musical number! ROCK OF AGES, CLEFT FOR ME (I'm just really letting the pipes loose) And I got to do my first baptismal interview! That was so awesome! Andrew was super cool (in YSA) and it's amazing to see how the gospel can and will change lives, completely change people, if they allow it to! Then we exchanged that night! I went to Tampa Spanish A

Wednesday!! I got a pumpkin spice shake, real interesting, let me tell ya, but not a lot happened on exchange. Except that Elder Kerr and I bonded over disney, hamilton, and being weirded out by Shrek (don't hate me), plus he played soccer for Rangers and AF for the longest time! Exchanged back around dinner time and so much crap had happened, from 2 baptismal dates going through Crisis to a lot of correction that needed to be made, just blew up all of our brains.

THURSDAY WAS ZONE CONFERENCE!!! It was really similar to our MLC a week ago, but it's amazing to see the miracles that have happened through facebook. If social media is used correctly, it is more than a mere time waster, but rather an instrument in bringing to pass the salvation of souls! I did not give a training :(, it was the zone leaders from the other zone with us! BUT IT WAS IN PERSON!!! YEEEEEEEHAAAAAAWW!!! Then we had our recent convert class, where the bishop found out I hadn't been to Twisty treat yet, so he gave us $20 and said to go ASAP!

Friday, TAMETRIA IS AWESOME!!! Elder Jacobs and Elder Thacker met her right before I got her, while they were out visiting people. She is super excited to learn about Christ and the book of mormon. She has experienced SO MUCH in her life, it's amazing to see how different people react to different situations. Made a facebook video with the Patel family that night, and then exchanged with the YSA Elders that night.

Saturday I was dealing with posts the entire morning, trying to get everything scheduled. But Elder Backlund, Wright, Jacobs and I taught a BOMB Spanish lesson with Ibeiti! She was super awesome, but Cubans speak SO DANG FAST!!! It was a million miles a minute! We didn't have a ton happen, but we got back into contact with Laura (she was struggling for sure, so everyone pray for her). We did have someone tell us it was kick-a** that we have zoom church right now, so we're gonna keep in contact with him!

Good ol sunday! LAURA CAME TO IN-PERSON CHURCH! AND I GOT TO BLESS THE SACRAMENT!!! Man, that was so awesome! Laura loved it and we'll be in contact with her throughout the week, help her rest her baptismal date! We ended up visiting people throughout the day, and we were down by the Bucs stadium, and heard the stadium EXPLODING, I love SPORTS so much!! Made homemade rolls 😋 and had a temple prep class for Elder Jacobs!! Plus, we had someone message us from Facebook, and he told us that we believe in a Jesus that is obsessed with sex and that all his babies that are good are white, and that aren't are black. Let me tell ya folks, that is not what we believe, but that was a wild ride.

This week, there was something me and my mom were talking about, that also tied into this last general conference. We were asked to love our enemies, to see others as Christ would see them, for their potential, and not their struggles or weaknesses. To accept and understand cultural differences, to allow us to cultivate a culture of Christ. In the come, follow me for this week, Christ chastises the nephites for leaving out the words of Samuel the Lamanite. Samuel is the only Lamanite prophet to be recorded in the Book of Mormon, but because he testified of the wickedness of the nephites, they chose to leave him out. We cannot choose to leave someone out, just because they do not agree with us, or our ideology. There is always something to learn from everyone, because a different perspective allows for different ideas and thoughts. We need to love them, listen to them, and learn from others. The chapters then continue on to talk about the gathering of Israel. Israel CANNOT be gathered unless we are unified in Christ. We NEED to realize that all can be part of the house of israel, it is not discriminatory!! All are invited to partake of the goodness of God (2 nephi 26:33). This week, for every situation, seek to learn 1 new thing, that will help you grow, and then pray to see others as Christ would. He loves, teaches and uplifts perfectly!!
