Semana 13.(Tengo que hablar español de nuevo! Sabe que? VOY A DECIR CAPO DE NUEVO)

Okay, first off everyone, I am officially old in the mission! I HAVE OVER ONE YEAR, WHAT IS HAPPENING, TIME IS GOING BY WAY TOO FAST!! WHAT ON EARTH!!! I LOVE THE MISSION (good start to the email, hopefully caught everyone's attention)

Monday, I witnessed, quite possibly, one of the most spectacular eating displays ever. It was an all you can eat sushi place, but if you don't finish, you pay for all the leftovers. So Elder Spencer, already having downed 3 rolls, orders 2 rolls of a monster roll. He gets 16 pieces, his eyes go wide realizing the mistake he's made. But I turn away for, LITERALLY A MINUTE, I turn back, HE IS EATING THE VERY LAST PIECE, HE INHALED IT, IT WAS AMAZING!!!

A lot of this week, we had to re-organize our entire apartment (it's not built for 4 people) to fit Elder Kata here! Basically, we organized, studied, and after dinner we taught and contacted a ton!!!

On thursday, it was the day!! I picked up my trainee!!! His name is Elder Kata!! He's 22 years old, from St. George (he grew up in California though, and unfortunately is a warriors fan) He's Tongan, AND HAS SOME HUGE ARMS, HE COULD BREAK ME LIKE A TOOTHPICK (Random disney quotes for 1000 Alex... what is "the incredibles"? 1000 POINTS TO WHOEVER SAID THAT, HAVE A GREAT DAY) He's definitely not adjusted to mission life, and teaching him spanish is harder when we're not completely immersed in the language, but practice and patience is the key!! Alma 17:11 and Alma 26:37 shows the Lord's promise to the sons of Mosiah and the fulfilling of it for their patience!!

This week was just calling and getting to know everyone and some busy work with random documents to fill out!!

Listened to an awesome talk, called "the difference one person can make" about a boy named Kent Williams. The impact he had, because of his love for the gospel, was amazing!! He refuses to let temptation overcome him! If we truly allow ourselves to grow, as the atonement is made to let us do, we can be as Moroni and the power of Hell will have no power over us Alma 48:17!

Jacob 4 states we should not counsel the lord, but take Counsel from him! (Jacob 4:10) if we do, we allow ourselves to take root in the gospel, to let us partake of all the blessings available, no matter the soil we're planted in. Even in the worst soil, a tree can grow and produce good fruit! (Jacob 5:21-22) Christ has literally done everything for us, in Jacob 5, the lord of the vineyard says 6 times, "it grieveth me that I should lose this tree" and says 3 times "but could I have done more in my vineyard?" He does not want us to lose! He's saddened if we struggle, when we feel lost, when the path seems dark. But Christ is the light and the way (John 14:6) find him, pray through him to our heavenly father, and find your path! I promise you it will happen!!

Do you feel close to God right now?

If not, what could you do to feel closer?

If yes, how are you going to allow that relationship to continue to grow?

I want all of you to ponder these questions, and apply them, we must liken the teachings unto ourselves!

I testify of the truthfulness of the book of mormon and the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints! God is real, he loves us and because he did, he sent his son for us!! I love you all and want to experience the joy that comes from inviting Christ into your life!

-Amen a toda persona y a toda cosa
