My second son, shedding a tear of joy :,) Week #12 (I think)
First things first! Transfers news... WE'RE ALL STAYING, BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE... I'M OPENING A NEW SPANISH AREA... AND I'M TRAINING!! IT'S GOING TO BE SO FREAKING AWESOME!!! YEEHAW!! Well there's that for you all, I'll get into it now!
Monday, oh man. The Guerreros came firing on all cylinders! WE GOT CRAB, AND LOBSTER AND SHRIMP, OH IT WAS SO GLORIOUS!!! The oil didn't hit too well, but I was too fat and happy to notice! What a time, seriously, just such a great time! Then we had an amazing discussion with them on the role we missionaries have, and we can accomplish our goals and purpose here! Was amazing and definitely changed my outlook on the mission!!
Me and Elder Hughes got to give our training for district council, we spoiled the district with homemade bread, man, good times! Last district council of my second transfer:'( bitter-sweet moments! And an exchange with Elder Spencer! A member gave us Enchiladas and Horchata and then... I CAUGHT A FISH (don't worry, it was approved outside time, lol) good times!
We met good ol Anthony Pedicini, who run a ton of elections down here in Florida, but a less active member with an awesome conversion story! So after elections we're going to be visiting him (He also let us sit in his awesome WWII jeep that he's restored)
On Thursday, we met ZAYRA!! SUPER AWESOME!! She loves the church but doesn't want to really take a step forward without her husband (since he's deployed) which makes sense, but we're going to be teaching her, and helping answer all her questions until then!
WE GOT CHICK-FIL-A (Ahnika, you would appreciate that) we also had an amazing friend with our friend Kapil! He wasn't super interested but the knowledge of eternal families helped keep him going!
Guys, Saturday, I made lemon bars! Oh, I dare you, but I'm the greatest lemon bar chef ever, square up, I dare you! We did buy giant pub subs with "lunch money" that members gave us and met a less active member in Publix (God guides you to those who need you! Even if it's just the place you go to eat)
Sunday, WAS AWESOME!! WE HAD AN AMAZING DISCUSSION WITH THE HATCHER FAMILY!! AND THEN WE PUT OUR FRIEND DAVID ON BAPTISMAL DATE!! AND HE WANTS HIS SON BAPTIZED!!! I TYPE IN CAPS A LOT!! BUT WOOOO!!! And then we got transfer calls, and I'm training, just a good day!
This week, a lot of study was done about responding to our promptings, and how to show our faith! Elder Renlund gives a talk about being spiritual first responders! When we receive a thought, whether we think it's our own, or the spirit, and it leads you to do good, to show your love for someone else... DO IT!!! We then frow our capacity and ability to recognize, react and respond to the promptings we're given, we will then be on "The Lord's errand" all our acts will be guided by the spirt and by God himself (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Then we can help increase our love for others and our faith through basic and diligent obedience to God's laws. As the stripling warriors were. They were quick to remember their God, and not one of the 2060 were killed. But do you want to know how they remembered.. THROUGH THEIR MOTHERS!! EVERYONE, LISTEN TO YOUR MOM, AND PARENTS IN GENERAL!! THEY LOVE YOU AND CAN HELP YOU GROW IN WAYS THAT WE DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!
Also, shootout to My Dad! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! YOU'RE THE BEST, THANKS FOR TEACHING ME TO SNAP ;) AND TO BE PROUD OF WHO I AM, AND TO ACCEPT OTHERS AS THEY ARE!! Also, your testimony has changed mine so much! It's amazing!!
Shout out to Christie as well, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! HAVE FUN AT BYU!!
-Amen a todas personas y a todas cosas
