My brain is fried, what week is it?
Shorter email for y'all this week, because I don't have a lot of time! Man, I should really work on time management
This week, they told us we could BAPTIZE PEOPLE WHO ARE OLDER THAN 65 YEARS OLD (of course, only if they're in good health, we're staying safe out here)
I was assigned to make a beast Spanish video, so a member loaned us the nicest Camera! Elder Memmott was playing with it for so long!
I'm getting really good at lemon bars and cookies, also rolls, so if anyone wants some baking done, hit me up, because the great British bake off has nothing on me, lol.
We're staying busy, teaching a little less this week, but definitely more driving, lol
This week, I was preparing for my training at district council and it was to focus on how Christ grew in stature, and wisdom and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52)
He grew physically, so keep yourself physcially strong, in shape! But to grow in wisdom, requires us to act, to pray with REAL intent. If we pray, but have no belief in an answer, what is the point? Mormon 9:21 and James 1:6 state we must ask doubting nothing!
To grow in favor with God and man is to align your will with God's. That requires you to turn outwards. Christ taught that if ye love me, keep my commandments (John 14:15) and King Benjamin taught that the greatest way to serve God is to serve our fellow man (Mosiah 2:17) but that requires us to be humble enough to realize what God desires for us.
Pride is a factor that drives us away from God. We become to self-centered. Until we understand that the greatest thing, as Christ taught, is to lose our lives for our friends, because there is no love greater, then we can not make progress in this life or the life to come. Matthew 5:44 states that we must love those who curse us and do wrong to us. Listen and observe, 2 of the hardest abilities to develop, as it is so natural to talk about ourselves. Of course, we must express ourselves, but in a way that allows others to be edified.
I'm typing fast, or I would go more in depth on pride, as that was a huge conversation me and my companions had this week, as pride can be tied back to almost all scenarios! Choose to love others as Christ did!!!
Amen a toda persona y a toda cosa
