Is it possible for me to be even more white than I already am, yes, it requires whipped cream (Week 10 of Tampa)

 I have no good headliners, so that's my good headliner, hope you enjoyed it

Twas a good week, we started out with a tour from good ol Hermana Ruiz (Tina) also, you guys should reach out to the missionaries in the historic sites missions, because they give some awesome tours! And made some BOMB lemon bars for the Patricks, and we threw whipped cream pies at each others faces, yes, that did happen.

EXCHANGE ON TUESDAY WITH ELDER HOLLOWAY! He was best friends with my zone leader from Argentina, so it was AWESOME! The boy is going to run track at UVU, so we talked about track literally the whole time! (We also had dinner with Tom Brady's personal trainer, guys, I'm freaking out)

We flipped right into Wednesday with another exchange. Elder Benavente came here, and we sent good ol Elder Hughes off. Elder Benavente is a fun kid (he's actually 26, so a tad bit older than me) and is just about to finish his training. We made some BOMB peanut butter cookies and dropped them off to some less active members! I am going to be on Master Chef, bring it on! (Or great British bake off, that's more my speed)

Thursday was our only normal day of the week, in terms of nothing special happening, but just grinding as always! We were just trying to get everything together for our sunday devotional!

Friday, I went off to Tampa Spanish C with Elder Whittier, and oh man, my spanish is rusty, I need some better studying fellas. But super fun. Quite a few lessons cancelled so guess what we did... COOKIE DROP OFF!! YEEET, DAB, WHIP, NAE NAE!! Then, I experienced the dreaded YSA at night (they just stay up talking after the lights are off, 10/10, would not recommend, because SLEEP IS GOOD)

Saturday we had interviews with President! That man is a spiritual giant, and helps me realize my potential as a disciple of Christ, and how I can better understand and utilize the atonement in my life! Hopefully we can do interviews in person next transfer! Also, SHOUT OUT TO MY MOM, BUYING FOOD FOR US, OH HECK YEAH!!

Sunday, good ol Sabbath! And Fast sunday, which means we were prepping for a BIG dinner, yummy yum yum! Had our zoom church (which we of course get to attend in person) and ran our Sunday Devotional at night! All about how the gospel can flood the earth, if we utilize social media in the right ways! We had a ton of involvement, LOVE THIS WARD!!!

This week, a lot of time was spent on how the atonement can enter into our lives. Christ suffered all pains and afflictions for all people (Mosiah 3:7, Alma 7:11-13) and yet, it has no impact if we choose to hold onto the sin. In Genesis 19, Lot's wife turns to a pillar of salt for turning back and looking, when being commanded not to. An interesting story, but it's implications on us, is that as we hold on to the mistakes we've made, we hinder our progress, in simpler terms, we're a pile of salt. Why do we worry, because it hurts that we ever made that decision, but Christ ALREADY suffered the pain of it, so don't let yourself do the same. You must "put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow." (Isaiah 1:16-17)

As we learn, and grow, we allow Christ to take away the pains, and as it says in Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

If we do this, we experience the joy that Alma felt! He could not remember the pains of his mistakes, because he allowed the atonement to take FULL effect in his life! (Alma 36:17-21 and Mosiah 27:28-29)

Do not allow yourself to be caught up with what was, and instead look to what can be! I'm so grateful for Christ, of how he strengthens me, and everyone, each and everyday, if we're willing to allow it to make a change in our heart, but we must allow Christ to take the pain of what was, instead of holding on to it ourselves!

-Amen a todas personas y todas cosas
