Back to normal, I guess
This week was just a big blob because of that, but we ended the week pretty well! We had a dinner with the Guerrero family! HE GOT ME A NEW SIGNED TOM BRADY JERSEY (Not a Buccaneers one, but STILL) it meant so much, especially after the week we had all had!
Sacrament really made my week, the peace and joy it brings, as we're able to recognize and remember Christ and what he did for each and everyone of us!
This week, the stories aren't great but it showed me the importance of Charity! No matter the outcome of a situation, and no matter how someone treats you, you can love and forgive them, but to paraphrase Jeffery R Holland, it does not mean you have to walk back into a situation that was not healthy for you and never will be! Christ suffered, so that we could improve! So that we are not held down by setbacks but rather that through hardships we grow! It does come from having a positive outlook! From choosing to see positive possibilities than negative realities! We are still allowed to remember, so the situation itself is not repeated, but choosing to let the atonement of Christ free you from pain, rather than holding on to it, allows for personal growth, emotionally, mentally and spiritually!
I finished the Alma war chapters this week, and when Pahoran is writing back to Moroni, something stood out to me! He had enough faith in God that if he required them to be enslaved by the lamanites, he would have willingly done so, but in Alma 61:13 it says, "But behold he doth not command us that we shall subject ourselves to our enemies (trials, bad situations, etc.) But that we should our trust in him and he will deliver us"
In all things, put your complete trust in God! He will never cause us to be completely overtaken, he will strengthen us, and give us strength during trials! It does mean though, that if it was required by God, we would follow through (Luckily he is a loving God, and would not do that Alma 26:37)
Put your trust in Gosd! He gives you strength and is mindful of your situation! I PROMISE YOU THAT!!!
