Week 8 (am I counting right?)

Well fellas, we're here, doing another week, so everyone enjoy, as I fill you in on all my adventures here in South Tampa

So, our good friend Mark who was all ready to be baptized, actually doesn't live in our area, so we'll zoom into his baptism when the time comes :)

The week was awesome though. There was a district v district v district challenge in our zone, of who could teach the most member lessons, and WE WON, THAT'S RIGHT, I WILL NOT LOSE, DANG FLABBIT!!! BRING IT ON, YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!! We taught 42 lessons, so didn't have to do a ton of phone contacting this week, and teaching is the best! Yeet, ya, yeet, ya!!

We were helping 2 of the families in our ward move this week, super fun to get out of the house, and enjoy the florida sun, we love heat waves, bring it on! One bought us a hecking giant wawa soda, so that was awesome!!

My email is all over the place this week, but what can ya do, my thoughts are usually all over the place, keeps things exciting here in tampa! I'M A NEVER ENDING BALL OF ENERGY, YEEEEEEHAWWWWW

This week, me and my companions were reading in Alma 32:41-43 and noticed something. As it talks about harvesting the fruit of our faith, as we nourish and let it grow, there's a line that says "by and by" which means, some indefinite time in the future.

As we connect faith to a tree, not only will it grow, but will go through seasons. A tree is not always in full bloom, in the winter, it seems barren, and struggles, in the spring, it begins to flower again and summer and fall we can see the full beauty of it!

Our faith will not always feel like it's at a high point, we will struggle in life, go through seasons, and struggle. But those are where we must take steps, without knowing what will happen beforehand (1 nephi 4:6) as we do that, Christ will be our guide (John 14:6)

But it does require nourishment, through prayer and study! Prayer is an act of repentance as we turn our will to God (Alma 34:17) and we must pray about the book of mormon! If you have never read the book of mormon, I invite you to do so, read it, and pray about it, and apply it to yourself, it causes changes that are unimaginable, as by "small and simple things are great things brought to pass" (Alma 37:6)

Nourish your faith through the book of Mormon, and the hope of partaking of the joyful fruit during harvesting season will carry you through the colder parts of life!
