Tampa week 3 baby
Well everyone, another week, another week, wow, I am so funny.
But we had an interesting week, definitely felt like there was no time this week, but what can ya do
I had a bunch of exchanges with the Tampa Spanish while my companion helped edit their video at the mission offices. That was a wild time, and everyone, guess what. If you've seen Icarly, you'll be happy, because, I ATE SPAGHETTI TACOS!!! YEET, DAB, WHIP, NAE NAE!!!! It happened, what a time, but I had some woman scream at me over the phone in spanish, lol
But some miracles this week! We met a woman, named Martha Cain, who is 80 years old, and wanted to be baptized 30 years ago! But her husband passed away and she lost contact with the missionaries:( but she was beyond excited to hear us, and to hear she can still be baptized, plus, she do the temple work for her husband!!! (She's 80, so we have to wait until it's safe for her to leave her home, but she's still excited!!!) We also got in contact with a member whose wife is not a member! And he bared his testimony on the book of mormon and how he's preparing to go through the temple! WHAT A GUY!!
Elder Memmott and I have actually had a lot of success teaching, and setting up lessons with members! The ward is supportive and wants to be involved but it's hard since Florida is EXPLODING in covid cases right now, so we'll see if they keep trying to open things back up.
(Guys, I taught a spanish class, and acted out a skit in a store, y'all should go watch it! And we have a cute lil video for our english Facebook page that me and my comp made on family history. Go follow "Finding Jesus Christ in Tampa" and share the video:) and go watch my great teaching skills on "La iglesia de jesucristo en Tampa)
I love missionary work, no matter what form, because the joy you can bring people who are looking, is greater than any person can imagine!
This week, I wanted to focus on a quote by Russel M Nelson "Giving help to others, making a conscientious effort to care about others as much or more than we care about ourselves, is our joy"
Lose yourself in your love for others! Pray for chances to help someone else, to touch the day or life of someone else! I promise as we seek to do good at all times, God will direct our paths Proverbs 3:5! There is no greater joy than giving ourselves up to our Heavenly mother and father and letting them make more of us than we ever thought possible!
-Amen a todas las personas y a todas las cosas
