HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD MISSIONARY (In Argentina)

Well, I started the week out with more food. We went to “Wanted Steakhouse”. Literally the most American restaurant chucked into Argentina. Then we explored the cheto area of Lomas (shopping district in Buenos Aires)  Guys, I BOUGHT A MATE CUP, I'm officially an Argentine, lol. Our night wasn't super productive, because we were running around trying to get a picture that Garcia could use for his visa application for the US. Memorized 3rd Nephi 15:17, “all will hear the voice of God” (I'm gonna do my part to help in that)

So, yáll, WE TALKED TO FLORENCIA! She's praying, and going to fast about baptism. Super Capo. Afterwards I got to hang out with the best fam, they really like my fish face, and one of them gave me a little drawing.  The kids are the best. Had a cita with Paula (saw Julieta beforehand, but she ran inside when she saw us, lol) and PAULA IS THE BEST! She's one of the smartest people I've ever met, and honestly one of the most spiritual. She understands how important it is to always help those around you! Hermana Gladys gave me an early Christmas present :), and I memorized Alma 32:18.

Well, Paula is the best human. Our charlas with her always are super intellectual, and she has a powerful spirit! She also gave us pizza right after we had a big lunch, and I ate probably 3/4 of it. I'm gonna be chubby. But, the rest of the day twas good and dandy. Helped Gladys plan for her lesson on friday, and memorized Alma 32:18 in good ol' espanol. I BET YOU GUYS CAN'T GUESS WHAT I'M GOING TO BE FOR HALLOWEEN... (hehehehehehe)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! If you guessed Missionary, you would be correct, 100 dollars to you in that corner. But Halloween was sick. Had an intercambio with Elder Moody, my CCM bud! We went absolutely ham or as he would say, we went dummy! Talked with everyone, even though both of our Spanish struggles still. Even taught a full on lesson, bring it on world, me and Moody will take you on. But he's a freaking capo! Memorized John 10:16 tonight, and had some skittles, because ya know, it's halloween.

So, did another intercambio on friday with Elder Franco, because Garcia had to go to a conference with zone leaders. Me and Franco went ham! Contacting everywhere in the morning. And the fact that I could talk to a Chilean (they talk flipping fast people) made me feel so good about how much my Spanish has improved!! Took forever to find Garcia again, because apparently him and Stapely went to Lomas (the reason is unknown). We went to visit Florencia, and she said I was acting weird. That's what I get for trying to talk more, lol. But had noche de hogar (family home evening) and Gladys had an AMAZING LESSON! I did get some death glares from members when I yelled "tomatela!"at Elder Rose (whoops, it means suck it, or literally you take it) Finished with John 10:11,14! Christ is the shepherd, not only did he give his life for us, but he knows each of us individually!

Saturday was a whole lot of knocking doors, and a whole lot of people saying no. This week was definitely a struggle to find new investigators, but tis all good. I did get to listen to a little bit of an evangelical sermon, and that... was wild ladies and gentlemen. Paula's son isn't doing well right now, so pray for that family!! Memorized Moroni 10:20 :) Also finished the Book of Mormon today, definitely a book that I would recommend reading ;)

Yáll, this was a rough week for finding, but I got the biggest smile on my face when LUCAS SHOWED UP TO CHURCH OUT OF NOWHERE!!! My man, bien, bien, bien. Twas good stuff, and I ate so many sweets from members today (also learned, definitely not a fan of flan, no, no, no sir) A bunch of kids came up to us, and asked me to speak in English. I freaked them all out by saying "hey guys, how's it going?" SO WEIRD that English is foreign, still not used to that yet. Memorized Moroni 10:32, “dedicate your heart, might, mind and strength, and you can be perfected in Christ!”

I MISSED LAST WEEK

Sorry everyone, last preparation day was interesting, so didn't have much time to do anything, lol, but life is good in Argentina ladies and gentlefolks I got to do a baptismal interview of Elizabeth leteno, from laferrere. That was humbling and powerful, to see the hope that the gospel has brought to her life, and I got to go to her baptism and help the Lafe Elderes!  We had a good ol tormenta blanca en nuestro area. Se explotó la carpeta de area.  HAD INTERVIEWS WITH PRESIDENT!!!! Haven't had that happen since I got here, so it was good to talk to him. He was super rushed, so we didnt get a ton of time to talk, but a SPIRITUAL GIANT Presidente Fernandez THEN WE GOT TO DO AN INTERCAMBIO WITH MY HERO ELDER THOMAS!!! I FETCHING LOVE HIM! HE'S SUCH A BEAST!!!! We went and visited some people he had taught in the area, and blew up every colectivo that we went in.  On monday, DISTRICT ACTIVITY!!! HOPPY PASCUAS A TODOS QUE LEEN ESTA CARTA Y LOS DEMAS!!! ESPERO QUE DISFRTUARAN SU FIN DE SEMANA CON LOS PROFETAS Y APOSTOLES!!!!! This week was definitely was an interesting one, where do I start We had interviews this week, but my companion and I didn't get them, because we had to go to Glew for a stake meeting, and the Elders before us went too long. So instead we did some roleplays of the restoration of the gospel, and then the assistants drove us to Glew, where we listened to a big ol stake meeting. We then spent the night with the Glew Elders, ELDER SOSA Y ELDER BLACKHAM!!!!  We had our first english class this week, so that was exciting. I got to teach english to all the people in my district, so that's an exciting time. Let me tell ya, I do not know how to teach english. I'll do my best. TAMPA ONLY TAKES DUBS

 TAMPA BUCS FOR THE W!! ROAD TO SUPER BOWL LV!!! EVERYONE CHEER FOR THE BUCS BECAUSE I AM CURRENTLY LIVING 15 MINUTES FROM STADIUM, WOOOOOOOOO!!!! Hope that caught everyone's attention, but this week was absolutely awesome!  We had some awesome lessons with our friends Tin and Ani! We put both of them on date, and both are loving the book of mormon and got permission from their parents, MIRACLES!!!! AND BOTH OF THEM CAME TO CHURCH, YEEEEEEHAAAAAWWW!!! We had zone conference, and it was powerful! Elder Thacker and I gave a training on being a 'Preach My Gospel' missionary. I loved it! Then President spoke all about the atonement, because that is our central doctrine. EVERYTHING revolves around the atonement, without it, we are lost in our fallen and mortal state.  WE HAD AN AWESOME LESSON WITH ERIC!!
