week 3, we're cruising through the mtc fellas

Well ladies and gents, we got to go to the temple. What a way to start out the week. The spirit in the celestial room is absolutely amazing, I love it there!!! I also got 2 pretty cool sock ties, so life is good. We came back, and had a way cool discussion about the bible, pearl of great price, and just the incomprehensible things you learn in the scriptures, such as Moses seeing worlds without number, and seeing every person that is and will inhabit this earth. Then we ended the day with some nice nutella sandwiches.

We went through an english fast on Thursday, and that was actually kind of fun. Made me feel good to know my Spanish vocab wasn't completely awful. 2 missionaries told me my shorts were too short during our service project and I was just a little bit butthurt, lol, if there's no underwear popping out, I'm all good. Memorized Alma 17:11 and I'm doing good. I finally got to play the piano since our district was practicing for our musical number. DUDE, WE GOT MUSIC! Gilmore got a package, and it had an MP3 player with sample songs. And one of them was 'cooler than me' and we jammed so flipping hard.

Gilmore and Abbott both got whey protein too, they are on the grind for bulking season ladies and gentlemen. I'm more sticking with endurance still, lol. I decided to memorize 2nd Nephi 1:23, quality scripture ladies and gents!! Also at night me and Abbott had a jam session in one of the piano rooms. Now I just gotta figure out how to get my roommates on time to class, we're always a few minutes late, classic Bennett ;) I got to give my first 2 priesthood blessings!!! Gave one to Hermana Cottrall and she said it really touched her, and then I gave one to Elder Bertoch at night, since he's been having a hard time. The spirit was so powerful, even though I had jello legs during my first one because I was so nervous, lol.

Taught our fake investigator Giovani, and finally getting good at teaching by the spirit ladies and gentlemen, taught him the restoration, and it went really well. I talk pretty much the whole lesson since my companion doesn't understand what Hermano Hernadez is saying. Also I've decided, sweaters look fresh. We also had a photoshoot with everyone's hair parted down the middle and inside out suits, and shorts rolled up. It was flipping hilarious. This house is full of the weirdest and funniest kids ever, love these dudes. So church was flipping hilarious, since our entire house went with middle parts, everyone said I looked like the mayor of whoville, so now I just need to find a way to talk to horton. Our Branch President thought it was hilarious, and took a selfie with all of that, I'll get that picture from him this week. The hermanas got a kick out of my hair. My district then performed out hecking good musical number, we killed it. Middle parts and all, spirit was way strong.

We had the strangest MTC class where the first counselor in the mtc presidency basically told all the guys to get married asap after their mission and the girls to say yes to any rm, man we love when people say GET MARRIED YOU 18 YEAR OLDS!!

Having costco chicken bakes for dinner on sunday, was the greatest thing, man, we haven't had good food for a fat minute. Sunday, there was a devotional for Russel M. Nelson's birthday, AND I SAW MY DAD IN THE CHOIR!!! That was the highlight of the devo fo sho. We've decided next sunday is going to be comb over sunday.

Memorized 3rd Nephi 14:7-8 in spanish on sunday and Helaman 5:12 in english, I'm cranking these scriptures out. Dude, the days that me and Oldham go on runs, are probably my favorites, I'm still a whacko runner, always will be. Memorizing Helaman 5:12 in Spanish burned my brain, but everyone, it is possible. I've now finished my 9 scriptures that I was supposed to have memorized by the end of week 6, I'd say I'm doing pretty good. Abbott, my companion, is getting sick, so I hopefully can avoid that.

Another blackham story, Gilmore and Bertoch were in the gym and they were talking to Blackham and he goes, "I find absolutely no joy, or benefit from being in the gym." He makes me laugh man. Funny guy. And I definitely read saints for like an hour, hehe, such an rebel. And we got some more nutella and bread from the comedor to snack on. This house is literally so much fun to hang out with. Well, the last day of this week was kind of strange. Abbott was sick when we woke up, so we went to the Enfermeria and got a note, so we could hang out in the casa until Lunch. Alarcon gave us some candy and then told abbott to feel better (some whacko candy man) and then we came back and Abbott slept. So I took an hour long nap and read saints and studied from pretty much 8:00 to 1:00.

At lunch Bullough our DL, told me Eldern Klingbiel really needed a companion exchange, which meant my afternoon was going to be spent with the one and only Elder Blackham. He's definitely a weird dude, but he's easy to talk to, he kinda gets a bad rap, but he does still say some hilarious stuff. First thing we did is we went to the tienda, and bought some olive oil and a little  container. Then I consecrated oil for the first time! Right afterwards we gave a blessing to Abbott, Bertoch anointed him, and I sealed the blessing, it was such a cool experience!! Then Blackham and I taught a lesson together and actually went really well.

We had our devotional and I was looking fresh in my khaki pants and blue suit ;), and it was by Gary E. Stevenson. It was way good, probably going to study more in PMG now. Memorized 2 Nephi 31:20 during the devo, and then back at the casa, Nye and Pederson told us the weirdest story of how their teacher dragged them into this weird culty teacher evaluation thing. Then we jammed on Elder Gilmore's synthesizer for like 20 minutes on the poem he found.

This week was pretty dang hilarious, and HALFWAY DONE WITH THE MTC! So excited to actually get out to Argentina, but luckily I got the best house around to make the MTC fun fellas.

And if anyone isn't getting my emails, have them email me, or send their email to me, still figuring things out.
